Núria Tubau (Barcelona, 1931) is a writer, translator and teacher.

In 1963 she presented her play Brindis a la joventut for the competition of unpublished works for the stage organised by La Faràndula Theatre of Sabadell and was awarded second prize. This was followed by several other awards from La Faràndula Theatre and, in 1972, she received the City of Barcelona Prize for her play Princeses, deesses... foteses! (1980). She has published the titles
Any de neu, any de Déu (1977) and Marco Polo, el veneciano (1984), as well as adapting for the stage Marta Mata’s story El país de les cent paraules (1981). She has translated from French the children’s stories L’estany perdut (1968) by L. N. Lavolle, El viatge d’en Nicolau (1989) by Jean Guilloré, and L’accident (1990) by Irina Drozd and, from Spanish, Groc Molière (1991), by M. Dolores Blanco Callejas and Adolfo Caballero.

Apart from her literary career, Núria Tubau has worked as a Catalan teacher and has also taught theatre in Barcelona and El Prat de Llobregat under the auspices of the Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia Linguistic Standardisation Plan.

She is an honorary member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
