Jordi Solé i Camardons is a sociolinguist who was born in Oliana (Catalonia) in 1959. He works as a Catalan Language and Literature teacher. His written work could be divided into 4 sections: (1) Essays ans textbooks on sociolinguistics. (2) Studies on the history of Catalan Sociolinguistics. (3) Works on Social history of the language. (4) Science-Fiction novels and essays on Science-fiction Literature.  (5) Poetry. He has published many articles on sociolinguistics which are ecoidiomatic orientated, and he has given seminars on sociolinguistic studies in several schools and universites.

He is a member of AELC (Association of Catalan Language Writers).
