Montse Rubinat Sindreu (Barcelona, 1976) writes poetry, children’s stories, and fiction, edits anthologies, is a cultural animator, gives lectures on literary culture and medieval history, teaches in writing courses and workshops, conducts reading clubs and cinema groups, and presents books. Moreover, she publishes opinion pieces in the printed press and conducts interviews with writers for the Tàrrega-based magazine Culturàlia. She describes herself as a poet, metaphysical and reflexive philosopher, humanist, and admirer of ancient Greek and Italian Renaissance culture.

She has completed studies in Economic and Business Sciences, and Business Administration and Management at the University of Barcelona and is presently studying for a degree in Philosophy at the National University of Distance Education (UNED). She has also completed postgraduate studies and several training courses at the Centre for Financial Studies, at the College of Real Estate Property Agents, and the Barcelona College of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects, and Construction Engineers.

She has worked in public administration and in private enterprise as head of administration and management assistant. For six years, she was a member of the Board of the Tàrrega Cultural Centre and of the jury for the Culturàlia awards. She is also a member of the jury for the Mestre Güell Prize for the Historical Novel, and currently a member of the Tàrrega Athenaeum, and of the Fuliola Athnaeum, besides being a councillor in the Fuliola i Boldú Council (Lleida). Moreover, she is a member of the Board of the History Society of the Institute of Catalan Studies, and director of a collection of poetry at the publishing house Editorial Base (Base Poesia).

She has published in jointly authored volumes of poems and texts. In 2007, she published the children’s story La princesa de xocolata and, in 2020, Un estel brilla al cel. In 2021, her first collection of poems, Tornar a néixer. Sota el signe d'omega, was published, in 2023, Nisshoku. Eclipsi de Llum and, in 2024, Terra de segadors.

She is a member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
