Josep-Ramon Bach (Sabadell, 1946 – Barcelona, 2020) was a Catalan poet, fiction writer, and playwright.

His poems first appeared in the 1960s, with those he published in magazines and other works that were self-published, among them Emily Kraufort, alumna de primària (poemes de Johnny Course), which he subsequently republished in an expanded edition. In these works, he was already experimenting with heteronyms. In the subsequent decades, he published De rems i hores (1974), Diorames (1975), and Trànsfuga de la memòria (1985). Then, after a break, he started publishing poetry again in 1996, now introducing the heteronym Kosambi, with which he embarked on a cycle of poetry and fiction. In the latter area, he also published children’s literature.

His book El laberint de Filomena (2009) closed this cycle and opened up a new period covering a wider variety of subjects. His works Seguiran Caïm (2015) and Secreta dàlia (2016), were both awarded prizes.

In addition to his poetry and fiction, Bach was also well known for his outstanding prize-winning short plays, notable amongst which are Diàlegs morals sobre la felicitat and La dama de cors se’n va de copes.

He was a member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
