Lluís Via (Vilafranca del Penedès, 1870 – Barcelona, 1940) was a journalist, poet, fiction writer, and translator into Catalan.
A regular contributor to the press of his times, he was a founder and director of the modernist magazine Joventut, as well as publishing novels, short stories, collections of naturalist poetry influenced by his close friend Apel·les Mestres. He was also an admirer of the poetry of Joan Maragall.
In addition to his literary work, Luís Via was a translator from French, English, and Italian, of stories by Perrault (with Oriol Martí), the French playwright Edmond Rostand, and the Italian poet Lorenzo Stecchetti. He also translated into Spanish works by Guimerà, Rostand, and Shakespeare (with Oriol Martí, and also with Emili Tintorer and Salvador Vilaregut).
In 1923, he became a member of the Fine Arts Academy of Barcelona. He died in Barcelona in 1940.
