Maica Duaigües (Barcelona, 1946), a poet with a degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona, is an advocate of non-stop education, of never ceasing to learn in courses of different disciplines. In her working years, she combined administrative work with writing poetry.
She has published several collections of poems, mostly in Catalan although some are in Spanish or bilingual. Notable among them are Vers un país de poesies (2011) and Brúixola per a uns versos perduts (2022). She is director of radio programmes promoting poetry in local stations, and also writes for the neighbourhood magazine Sant Antoni 2000.
She is an honorary member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
