Jordi Andreu Corbatón (Tarragona, 1979). With a doctorate in Business Studies from the University of Barcelona, he is a lecturer in Finances at the Rovira and Virgili University of Tarragona, besides being a writer and painter.
With deep roots in the city of Tortosa, he has been writing fiction since he was fifteen years old, his stories being set in the city where he has lived and that has left its mark on his work and personality. Tarragona, Tortosa, Reus and Barcelona also figure forcefully as singular characters in the pages of his short stories, children's stories and fiction, all of which are grounded in his intense love for his country and its landscapes.
Notable amongst his books are Mitxatxibutxi and Els barquers del cel (Boatmen of the Sky), children's stories that have the reader dreaming of fabulous worlds, and Pull-back, a blend of crime novel and economic thriller written for adolescents.
He is a member of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan Language Writers).
