Maria Lluïsa Amorós Corbella (Reus, August 1954), a writer and teacher, lives in Girona. A graduate in Hispanic Philology and Catalan Philology, she is a secondary school teacher and head of studies in Catalan Language and Literature.

In the literary field, he has written mainly novels and literature for young people. Since his debut in 1986, with Poppis i Isolda, he has published eighteen titles in Catalan and his work has been translated into Spanish. His book Aquella tardor amb Leprechaun was awarded the Vaixell de Vapor Prize in 1987. He has published Els nens de la senyora Zlatin in 2021, finalist for the Ramon Llull Prize 2020. His latest book, Confidències vora el Tàmesi, in 2023.

She works in the Lletres a les Aules programme of the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes (Institute of Catalan Letters) and has given lectures for readers' clubs in venues including the Ateneu Barcelonès, the Xavier Amorós Central Library and the Readers' Circle of Reus, the Reus Women's Association and the Alforja Women's Association. She has also given talks in civic centres and schools around Catalonia. In June 2005 she was Guest Writer at the Eleventh Camp de Tarragona Writers Meeting.

She is a member of Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan Language Writers – AELC) and has taken part in Galeusca, the Galician, Basque and Catalan writers' congress (Mallorca, 2002). As a member of the Catalan PEN Centre she participated in the 2004 Words and Future Forum in Palma.

She is a member of Reusenques de Lletres (Reus Women of Letters) group and was a founding member of the theatre group La Vitxeta (Reus).

She has been a jury member for several literary prizes for the novel. These include that of the City of Tarragona Pin i Soler Prize, of which she continues to be a member.
