Lluís Oliván Sibat (Lliçà d'Amunt, 1968) has written the novels El taxidermista (The Taxidermist, Viena Edicions, 2005), El món líquid (The Liquid World, Publicacions de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, 2006), El guardián de las hogueras (The Guardian of the Bonfires, EDAF, 2006), Un pare possible (A Possible Father, Columna Edicions, 2007) and Has marxat sense avisar (You've Left without Warning, Columna Edicions, 2010).
He has also published the short-story collections Parcel·les habitades (Inhabited Allotments, Columna Edicions, 2008) and Títulos robados (Purloined Titles, Algaida Editores, 2008).
His work written in Catalan has been awarded the Fiter i Rossell Prize (2006), the Valldaura – Memorial Pere Calders Prize (2006), the Sant Celoni Short Novel Prize (2005) and the Tinet Prize for Short Internet Fiction (2005).
For his Spanish-language books he has received the Seville Athenaeum "Alfonso de Cossío" Prize for the Short Story and the City of Getafe Prize for the Novel (2006).
He is a member of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan Language Writers – AELC).
