Joan-Lluís Moreno Congost (Alicante, 1961) is a teacher at the secondary school El Pla in Alicante.
He has been involved in theatre since 1984, working with groups including Bilingüisilimílismisme, Palo Mayor Teatro, Papallona Teatre, El Club de la Serpiente, Yorick Teatre, Saineters, Lluna Roig Produccions, and the University Theatre of the University of Alicante as well as directing more than twenty plays performed by school students.
He made his literary debut with the novel Jack no va passar pel purgatori (2003), which was awarded the City of Badalona – Solstici d’Estiu Fiction Prize. His second novel, Tast de salobre (2017), was the winner of the Carmelina Sánchez-Cutillas Prize of Altea.
He is a member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC – Association of Catalan Language Writers).
