Jordi Ferrer Gràcia was born in Berga (Berguedà) in 1964 and spent his childhood and early adulthood in different parts of Catalonia and Andorra, after which he came to live in Barcelona in 1982 when he started studying at the University of Barcelona, from which he graduated in Catalan Philology in 1987. Since then, he has worked as a language and literature teacher in primary and secondary schools of Barcelona and the surrounding areas.

All his life he has been writing volumes of poetry and plays, some of which have been published and/or have been awarded prizes, but it is only in recent years that he has started to write intensively, mainly poetry where he works especially with the technique of the sonnet, and short stories.

He is a member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan language Writers – AELC).
